Long jet-black wavy hair. Extensive ink across the hip, ribcage, and stomach. A white painted brick wall with a large circular studio spotlight. The session wasn’t about making the tattoos acceptable. It was about making the photographs worthy of them.

WHITE BRICK WALL — OPENING SEQUENCE
The first frames established the visual language: every pose approached as a question about what the previous frame didn’t show. The hip ink, the ribcage work, the stomach tattoos — each new position answered that question differently.
“Arms raised, hands clasped behind head — circular spotlight, white brick wall, tattooed midriff.”

THE CIRCULAR SPOTLIGHT
The session then worked the spotlight more deliberately — finding angles where it caught specific areas of the ink in ways that flat lighting never could. The thigh tattoo centred in the circular beam. The ribcage work, rim-lit.
